Trees of Learning

Careful sequencing of ‘milestones’ from the foundation stage and up through key stage one and into key stage two provides a coherent, structured, and academic curriculum. The milestones (1, 2 and 3) are aligned to the National Curriculum and go beyond National Curriculum requirements in each milestone to ensure repetition of skills and knowledge.

Working alongside the subject leader counterparts at Kingmoor Nursery and Infant School we have jointly created subject documents termed ‘Trees of Learning’. These documents show the progression of topics between the two schools and promote a cohesive approach to our overall curriculum. This ensures the pupils learning journey transitions seamlessly from key stage one to key stage two.
